An online space to unite the sustainability community at UVA and beyond

The EcoNetwork is run by the Student Council Sustainability Committee, and is a student-voiced platform to exchange information, work through challenges, and connect those involved in making our University and world more sustainable.

Below are many topics regarding sustainability. Click on any to be taken to an often-updated document full of information on sustainability initiatives, projects, people working on the same issue, etc.

CYDNIE GOLSON

Cydnie is a Mechanical Engineering Major in the class of 2021 interested in clean energy. She envisioned the EcoNetwork after noticing redundancy in the sustainability community. Cydnie wanted to connect people with similar interests and create a way to know the current state of sustainability initiatives at UVA.

BRIAN HNAT

Brian is a Global Environments and Sustainability Major in the graduating class of 2020. Brian’s main sustainability focus is policy and renewable energy. Upon graduating, Brian hopes to pursue energy policy and law in his career.

Kyle is a Computer Science Major in the graduating class of 2022. He is passionate about caring for the environment and hopes the EcoNetwork will help connect those with similar interests to bring some positive, sustainable changes to Grounds.
