Representative Body
Introduction
The Representative Body is comprised of Representatives from across all of the University’s schools, as well as from the first-year, transfer, and international student classes. Representatives are elected by their various constituencies during the spring semester (schools) and fall semester (first-year, transfer, and international). Broadly, the Representative body is responsible for drafting and passing legislation, and advocating on behalf of students. The Representative Body also hosts three committees, each tasked with a different element of the Representative Body’s work.
Representatives may be contacted for media inquiries, but represent solely their schools, their constituents, and themselves as individuals. Representatives do not speak on behalf of Student Council as a whole.
The Rep Body hosts the Community Concerns, Internal Affairs, and External Affairs committees.
