What does it mean to build a legacy? 

At UVA, Student Council has always been about making a meaningful difference for students, a legacy shaped by individuals like you—leaders who’ve worked to make this community a better place. As we look ahead, one of our most important priorities is making sure that legacy continues, especially through the Support and Access Services (SAS) Branch, which has become a critical lifeline for so many students. 

Since its launch in 2021, the SAS Branch has had an incredible impact, with 84% of the student body voting to create it. From academic support to mental health resources, SAS has helped students navigate their UVA experience, ensuring no one has to face challenges alone. But we don’t want this to be a one-time effort—we want to ensure this branch is here for generations of students to come. 

That’s where you come in. 

We’re launching a Capital Campaign to ensure the continued success and growth of SAS. Your support will help us secure the resources needed to keep this vital service going strong and expand its reach. Our campaign’s mission is simple: providing every student with the tools they need to thrive at UVA.
